WHU Controlling Network

Our aim at the IMC is to accompany the transformation of the finance function as well as the development of the profession of controller to establish an active partnership with management. For this reason, the Institute works closely with partners in business. Our extensive network offers various options for contacting us and establishing a basis for a possible collaboration. WHU on Controlling Premium gives you a unique opportunity to get in touch and benefit from the various resources we have to offer.

Getting involved

Our partners

  • The Center for Controlling und Management (CCM) fosters an intensive collaboration with the heads of controlling of leading German companies and has done so since it was founded at WHU in 2000.
  • The IMC and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the world’s leading, largest professional body of management accountants, have joined forces.
  • The management consulting company CTcon GmbH, founded in 1992, is a spin-off of the Institute and we maintain very close ties.
  • The IMC receives advice and recommendations from a high-profile Executive Advisory Board.
  • We have close links throughout the controller community in the D-A-CH region through our connections with the International Controller Association (Internationaler Controllerverein, ICV). Professor Weber is chair of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Schäffer is a member.

  • The Institute maintains close contact with almost 200 alumni, around 80% of whom now work in business, while 20% have stayed in research.
  • Finally, the IMC is also part of InPraxi, the WHU alumni network.
